Loch Lomond, little paradise

This is Loch Lomond. One word: mind-blowing! It’s one of my favourite places that I discovered in Scotland.

Loch Lomond is a Scottish lake located in Balloch, in west of the country, to the south of Highlands. It’s located approximately 25 km away north west of Glasgow. Its dimensions are approximately 37 km long and 8 km wide. Its average depth is 37 meters, with a maximum depth of 190 meters. By its surface it’s the largest lake of Great Britain and the second after the Loch Ness, in volume. In 2005, a survey of readers of the British magazine Radio Times TV has placed the Loch Lomond in sixth place of the most beautiful natural wonders of Britain.
I went to this lake twice. Once in October where we had walked for 3 hours under clouds to discover amazing places and visit the Maid of the Loch (an historic steamship). We took a lot of pictures. On the left shore, the side of Golf, there were only ‘chic’ people with nice cars. The last time, I went to Balloch with my family when they visited me in February and it was a wonderful day. Mountains were covered with snow yet and there was a beautiful weather. We could see fabulous views and also Balloch Castle under the sun.
It's a little paradise only 30 minutes from Glasgow (by train). Watch this video to see more about Loch Lomond.
